I have been doing CrossFit since 2004 and a former regional level competitor (2010 – 2013). I am a CrossFit Level 2 trainer and also a Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Specialist.

After having my second son I decided to change careers from a high school English teacher of 12 years, to a pregnancy and postpartum athleticism trainer.

I never thought I would change careers; however, this has become my heart project that I cannot ignore. I am on a mission to help moms avoid the misinformation, confusion, panic, pain, and fear that I experienced returning to CrossFit and during daily physical demands of motherhood. Even though advertisements on social media show a “one size fits all” answer for postpartum fitness, each situation is drastically different. I will provide you with an individualized approach to both empower you and also heal your mind and body.

After having my own abdominoplasty/tummy tuck procedure I have found that it is very rare for women to have specific guidance on return to fitness after “clearance” from the surgeon. A similar issue as with postpartum but with even less guidance,  often accompanied with more shame and guilt.

Therefore, helping women recover from these surgeries has become another passion of mine, along with normalizing the length of the process.  Each woman needs a unique plan depending on surgery procedure and movement goals; but, there is a way to recover with intention and progressive strategy.  I will provide you with an individualized plan that will help you feel empowered throughout the healing process.

Before I did personal training with Lisa I would sometimes feel that I was not heard because I couldn’t recognize my own fears as roadblocks to training. Those fears I could not put into words. It’s different now because I recognize that I needed more than I could convey. It wasn’t until finding Lisa and feeling heard for the first time that allowed me to feel more confident.

Post C-section 3 years, I finally am not experiencing back pain. It’s important for me to tell you that if you are in pain and you need to try something different- to listen to that voice. Lisa listens, is supportive, and professional.

She has helped me repair my relationship with working out.
